  • Overview

Your InterScribe subscription includes certain limits: hours of streaming per month, number of interpreters, audience size, and translation credits for post‑event translations . Keeping track of these resources helps prevent interruptions during live events and ensures you stay within your budget. This guide describes how to monitor your usage, understand credits, and purchase additional capacity when needed.

    Understanding Usage Metrics

    Metric Description Where to View
Streaming Hours The total live or recorded hours streamed in the current billing cycle. Each plan includes a monthly allotment (Launch – 10 hrs, Engage – 25 hrs, Elevate – 55 hrs) . Streaming pauses once the limit is reached. Account Settings → Subscription displays your remaining hours.
Interpreter Count The number of human interpreters concurrently logged in. Engage supports up to 2; Elevate supports unlimited interpreters . Dashboard → Interpreters shows active interpreters during events.
Audience Size Maximum participants per session (Launch – 500, Engage – 1,000, Elevate – 3,000) . Exceeding this limit prevents additional participants from joining. Analytics → Session Details lists attendee counts.
Translation Credits Credits used for post‑event translation and summarisation. Each credit produces a translation of your transcripts into one new language (20/100/500 per month by plan) . Account Settings → Subscription shows remaining credits.

    Monitoring Usage

    1. Open the Subscription page: Go to Account Settings → Subscription to see a summary of your monthly consumption. A widget displays remaining streaming hours and translation credits .
    2. Check interpreter status: During live events, open the Streamer Dashboard → Interpreters tab to view which interpreters are active and how many slots remain.
    3. Review analytics: After events, use Analytics to see how many participants attended and whether you’re approaching your audience cap.
    4. Download usage reports: Some plans provide downloadable usage reports for budgeting and record‑keeping.

    Adding Capacity

    1. Upgrade your plan: The easiest way to increase your limits is by upgrading to a higher tier. This instantly increases your monthly streaming hours, interpreter count, and translation credits.
    2. Request additional hours or credits: If upgrading isn’t ideal, contact our support team to purchase extra streaming hours or post-event translation credits. Pre-paid resources must be used within the current billing cycle and do not roll over.

    Tips & Best Practices

    • 📅 Plan ahead: Schedule events to spread usage evenly across the month. Avoid scheduling too many concurrent sessions if you’re close to your streaming limit.
    • 🎤 Prioritise interpreters: Ensure interpreters have reliable connections. If you run out of interpreter slots, consider enabling AI voice for secondary languages .
    • 🔁 Reuse transcripts: Post‑event translations are free if you’ve already translated a session into that language. Save credits by sharing the same transcript instead of reuploading it.
    • 📈 Watch participant numbers: For large events, consider upgrading to a higher tier to support more viewers and concurrent streams .
    • 💬 Contact support: If you regularly exceed your limits, discuss a custom plan with InterScribe’s sales team.

    Troubleshooting / FAQs

    Question Answer
My stream stopped unexpectedly. You may have reached your streaming hour limit. Streaming will automatically pause when your monthly hours run out. Upgrade your plan or contact support to add more.
We ran out of translation credits. Translation features will be disabled until credits reset or additional ones are added. Contact our team to purchase more or wait for your next billing cycle.
Why can’t I add another interpreter? The Engage plan supports up to 2 interpreters. Remove an interpreter or upgrade to the Elevate plan for unlimited interpreter access.
Do unused hours or credits roll over? No. Both streaming hours and translation credits reset each month and do not carry over.
Will pre‑scheduled sessions still run if we’re out of hours? If your account runs out of streaming hours, new sessions cannot be started, and recurring sessions may stop working until your usage is restored. Monitor usage to avoid disruption.
